-- Feedback on follow-up reports from 2005 data on Lipodissolve from members show consistent safety data .
Feedback from ASAL members via the ASAL follow-up report that physicians are asked to provide to ASAL after courses show that Lipodissolve safety is consistent and stable following reports from past data. General side-effects included some burning and heat in the injected area, while pain was only reported in some cases. Another report was temporary nautia and lightheadedness which only occurred with a small number of cases.
A promising aspect in the reports, over 100 to date, is that all users except 4% reported positive cosmetic results with as high as 90-90% satisfaction on first trials without having any long-term experience in performing Lipodissolve. Generally it is known that physicians cosmetic results with the treatment increase over a one year period. The 4% that reported poor cosmetic results were mainly based on wrong application to protocol, or confusions between the Lipodssolve protocol and other protocols if the physician had attended multiple courses on imitation procedures.
Not a single report contained any comments or data on severe or adverse reactions from medications used in their Lipodissolve treatment. Plastic surgeons provided the most positive feedback in their results. Surgeons often find more positive effects of Lipodissolve than any other medical specialty. This is based on their extended use for post-surgical corrections and in-depth knowledge on the aesthetic procedures available today comparative to what is required within surgery to achieve similar results.
ASAL is expecting to have the completed data from the reports available by the end of 2006.
