Booming business modules and high revenue margin for Lipodissolve clinics, demonstrate patient demand for non-surgical treatments

New York (September 2006) -- With increasing rumours that some clinics offering Lipodissolve net over $1.3 million a month, patient demand is shown to be higher than the actual number of clinics offering the treatment. Lipodissolve has been estimated to be a potential $ 1 billion a year industry, expected to burst open on the aesthetic medical market within the coming years.

The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) reported in 2005 that more than 400,000 liposuction procedures had been performed in 2004 by surgeons during the year in the United States alone. There is a larger number of patients that avoid surgery and are weary of pain and potential risks. Often these patients have small areas of fat that can be handled with non-surgical methods. This target group is the ideal Lipodissolve candidate.

An ASNA spokesperson say, "It is clear from our courses, that clinics are becoming pressured to offer Lipodissolve. Only a year ago Lipodissolve was still unknown and the main focus was to prove whether it actually worked or not. Today, whether physicians believe in the procedure or not, it is the patients themselves who demand treatment by referrals through friends or acquaintances that have had Lipodissolve. More and more patients call clinics asking for Lipodissolve. Unfortunately. there is still very few clinics that offer Lipodissolve compared to the potential patient demand out there." ASNA has trained over 200 physicians in the United States alone til date.

Another concern is that clinics don't do proper investigation into authentic Lipodissolve training. "Our courses refer to the actual Lipodissolve, a name that has been applied for trademark protection. Our protocol is standardized and coincide to the data from our use and studies that are published out there. Lipodissolve is not mesotherapy or lipotherapy, often offered through third-party courses that is trying to re-invent the wheel with different protocols than what the standard treatment in Lipodissolve consist of. Clinics should seek authentic training to assure their information is accurate and assure they have permission to use the name in their marketing."

Some training courses offer protocols that contain toxic agents that don't focus on actual fat lysis, but literally is based on burning the fat off - with acids. The problem with this method is that these toxins don't only stand the risk of burning fat, but cause muscle damage and other unattractive tissue damage. In spite of the surprise that physicians are willing to offer such risky options with an off-label procedure, and the varius aggressive methods that are posed under the pseudo of Lipodissolve and offered in different courses, they have not shown to be faster or offer better cosmetic results than the authentic treatment. "The combination of medications that is standard in Lipodissolve is really quite brilliant," says Dr Khalid Mahmud, one of ASAL's medical consultants. "I used mesotherapy from popular protocols from other courses before starting with Lipodissolve and observed bad reactions from it with little or no cosmetic results to mention much of. The medications in Lipodissolve act to complement each other in a way that proves truly effective for fat lysis. And it is mild and I have seen no serious side-effects if this protocol is followed. Poor cosmetic results can happen if protocols are not followed. In my own experineces, I have never required more than 2 sessions max for positive end results with Lipodissolve. But then, it is up to the patient how much circumferral loss they seek."

The low overhead for clinics offering Lipodissolve makes it an excellent non-surgical treatment even for start-ups. Lipodissolve requires no expensive equipment, no expensive medications and apart from marketing, has very few clinical costs. "Patients feel attracted to the reasonable rates that range from $350-550 per treatment even if they may require to return more than once. Some start-up clinics have transformed their whole gross profit expectations with Lipodissolve."
