Elegant redhead Nicole Kidman, known as one of Hollywood's top Australian imports reportedly underwent a series of bizarre beauty treatments in a bid to slim down before her latest movie premiere last night (April 14, 2005).

The Hollywood actress, once married to heartthrob actor Tom Cruise, reportedly followed her intense beauty regime with sea-weed wrap, lipodissolve, and an punishing work-out to hone her already perfect physique.

The Oscar-winning actress booked herself in for a range of treatments including a seaweed body wrap - that claims to offer instant weight loss - while staying at London's exclusive Dorchester hotel. .

Insiders revealed that the lithe lovely ordered aides to bring a range of exercise equipment to her lavish rooms for a final toning session before making attending the Leicester Square premiere. The source added: "Nicole had a few weights and some gym equipment brought up to her suite.

"This was something she and Tom Cruise used to do when they were married . By the time she left the hotel she looked radiant."

DAILY MAIL, Great Britain (December 2004) by NICOLE LAMPERT - She looked like a little girl who had skinned both her knees. But there could be a rather more grown-up reason that Nicole Kidman was spotted sporting matching bandages.

Last night there was speculation that the 37-year-old Australian actress has had plastic surgery.

Experts claimed she may have had a procedure known as 'lipodissolve', a series of injections that break down fat, effectively melting it away.

This is not the first time Miss Kidman has had a spot of knee trouble.

Liposuction

Five years ago, she tore the cartilage in one of her knees while filming the musical Moulin Rouge. The result was a niggling injury that could still need treatment.

"Of course she might have had keyhole surgery to overcome cartilage problems," said Dr Lucy Glancey of London's City SkinKlinic.

"But it is quite rare for the cartilage of two knees to go at the same time and I would not be surprised if she has had some sort of plastic surgery.

"She might have had liposuction but that often leaves a lot of swelling. So I would guess she has had lipodissolve, which is a new injection to get rid of fat and is now one of the biggest things in Hollywood. It is made from an extract of soya beans and breaks down the fat so that it is expelled naturally out of the body."

Miss Kidman showed off her unusual accessories when she went for an early morning swim with a trainer at the YMCA in Los Angeles.

At 5ft10in, she is said to weigh a mere eight stone but remains a vigilant exerciser.

She made sure she covered up well for her swim, in goggles, cap and a wetsuit-style swimming costume that showed off her bandaged legs.

Her trainer made sure she completed a tough workout before leaving the pool.

Miss Kidman, who has two adopted children from her ten-year marriage to Tom Cruise, is said to be dating again. She is seeing Elizabeth Hurley's ex-boyfriend, the billionaire producer Steve Bing.
