Plastic surgeons consist of the largest specialized group of satisfied Lipodissolve users
Lipodissolve is receiving a growing response worldwide from physicians that specialize in plastic surgery. The ASAL November workshop in Tokyo, Japan, at the 5th Annual Congress of APACS & IACS is an example of this and had a high number of enthusiastic plastic surgeons (81%) that made up the majority of attendees. ASAL members that are certified plastic surgeons are 42%. While the percentage is the highest of all specialties attending Lipodissolve training it does not include non-certified surgeons that perform cosmetic or plastic surgery.
Since the official intruction of Lipodissolve to physicians in June 2004 through workshops presented in the United States, Lipodissolve usage is increasing amongst plastic surgeons. It is interesting to note that plastic surgeons, previously the most critical group against micro injections for body sculpting, report the highest satisfaction level with Lipodissolve use at 96% of all medical professionals on ASAL's follow-up inquiry. The potential of Lipodissolve as a nonsurgical option to minor lipoplasty for patients that are unwilling or unable to undergo surgery is attracting plastic surgeons to implement Lipodissolve to their practice. Kara Freeman with the ASAL administration says, "It used to be quite common that plastic surgeons attended the workshops because they were sceptical but curious to find what new treatments are out there. This has however changed. On our follow-up inquiry surgeons often end up being the most satisfied users of Lipodissolve in their clinical practice".
"Lipodissolve is a very positive new treatment option. I have many patients who would benefit from this," says Dr Kocabalcan, a practicing plastic surgeon in Sweden. Nonsurgical procedures are in increased demand by patients worldwide, adding pressures on medical clinics specializing in cosmetic procedures. Plastic surgeons are the perfect target user of Lipodissolve as they already have extensive exposure and understanding of aesthetic procedures in general. Plastic surgeons know the availability and range of options, the extent of downtime, complications, as well as a clear comprehension of difficulty in achieving excellent end results from surgery. In comparisement to all of this Lipodissolve offers an excellent treatment option.
Plastic surgeons make up the group with the highest satisfaction
level (96%) from Lipodissolve use in their clinical practive, and have the highest attendance percentage at the ASAL Lipodissolve workshops.
"Lipodissolve is very promising with good cosmetic results for a nonsurgical procedure, and we definetly have use for it in our clinic," says Kentucky based Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon Dr Gerald Verdi, voted as Louisville's top surgeon in 2001. Dr Verdi, like so many other plastic surgeons that utilize the Lipodissolve treatment in his clinical practice do not need to turn away patients that are apprehensive of surgical procedures and qualify as the right candidate for Lipodissolve micro injections. Surgeons express their satisfaction with Lipodissolve for the multiple and broad use it offers in their practice, "Surgeons have better use of Lipodissolve than other medical practitioners because they can use the treatment pre-liposuction on non-candidates to mobilize fat before surgery," says Freeman. Lipodissolve is one of the few therapies available that can help surgeons to correct surgical deformities. In addition Lipodissolve is becoming a part of liposuction surgery where it is applied at the end of each surgery to reduce hardness of tissue, improve skin retraction and reduce chances of 'ripple' effect after liposuction.
"Lipodissolve is not a miracle cure and does not give instant dramatical results that can be achieved with liposuction surgery but our staff and patients love this therapy for reasons that it is mild, inexpensive, quick to administer, and give good cosmetic results with the right patient selection. The skin retraction is quite dramatic even after a single treatment," comments plastic surgeon Dr Ruth Hillelson with American Self Clinic in Richmond, Virgina, that offer a broad range of plastic surgical procedures.
While Lipodissolve may not offer the instant results for fat removal that can be done with the rough and fast effects of surgery, on the other hand, Lipodissolve does not follow with common complications that is known with liposuction such as persistent fluctuating swelling, long recovery, surgical deformities or appearance of cellulite and surgical risks. Lipodissolve entice the body's own procress to dissolve fat by bursting the fat cells and transporting the fat via the metabolic process and eliminating it the natural way.
The aim of ASAL is to develop Lipodissolve as an effective treatment to be a recognized replacement of surgery to all patients that are evaluated as candidates for surgery. Currently the right candidate for Lipodissolve is patients that have no metabolic disorders, are not excessively obese and have the right fat structure that can mobilize the disruption of the fat cells after injections.
THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF AESTHETIC LIPODISSOLVE™ (ASAL) act as the only Lipodissolve organization devoted entirely to the advancement of Lipodissolve for nonsurgical cosmetic procedures. ASAL is recognized as the authoritative source for Lipodissolve education and information in the United States.
